About the Company

AS Beauty is one of the fastest-growing cosmetic companies in the market today. We are a family-run business based in New York, NY, focused on developing global beauty brands that deliver real-world solutions to a diverse consumer base. AS Beauty’s portfolio includes renowned brands Laura Geller Beauty, Bliss, Cover FX, Julep Beauty, and Mally Beauty. We are continually developing products that are innovative, effective, and ensure that our customers feel beautiful inside and out.

About the Role

Laura Geller is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Director, Product Sales Planning & Commercial Strategy to maximize the performance of our products across DTC, Amazon, QVC, retail, TikTok Shop, live commerce, GMA and emerging channels.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role leads cross-channel product sales planning and commercial optimization – connecting forecasts, product performance, pricing, promotions, inventory and margin across the business.

Sales Channel Leaders own their channel strategy, forecast, commercialization, execution and results. This role works across and alongside those leaders as a strategic commercial planning partner – consolidating, challenging and connecting their plans into a credible product sales outlook. That outlook is a critical input to Demand Planning, helping ensure we buy the right inventory, in the right quantities and flow, to support the business.

The role also closes the loop back to Merchandising and Product Development, using sales performance, customer demand, channel learnings and assortment gaps to help inform future product opportunities.

We are looking for someone who can move seamlessly between SKU-level detail and the bigger commercial picture – someone who lives in the data, develops strong commercial opinions, challenges assumptions and turns insights into action.

How This Role Works

This role sits at an important intersection between Sales Channel Leaders and Demand Planning. Sales Channel Leaders own their channel strategy, forecast, commercialization, execution and results. Product Sales Planning & Commercial Strategy consolidates, challenges and connects those plans into a cross-channel commercial/product sales outlook. Demand Planning translates that commercial demand signal into inventory requirements, flow and the buy/replenishment process.

What You’ll Do

Lead Product Sales Planning & Forecast Governance

  • Consolidate, review and challenge product-level forecasts across channels while Sales Channel Leaders retain ownership of their individual forecasts and commercialization plans.
  • Reconcile financial targets, channel forecasts and product forecasts;
    use historical performance, comparable products and forecast learnings to identify risks, opportunities and gaps early.

Connect Commercial Demand to Inventory

  • Own the consolidated commercial/product sales outlook and partner closely with Demand Planning to translate expected sales into inventory requirements and flow.
  • Incorporate inventory constraints and opportunities back into commercial planning, helping Sales determine the right response as demand and inventory change.

Maximize Product, Margin & Inventory Productivity

  • Identify where products and inventory can generate the greatest commercial value across channels using sales, net AUR, margin/contribution and inventory productivity.
  • Develop commercial strategies for constrained, excess or at-risk inventory across channels, promotions, bundles, GWP, live selling, Clearance and other opportunities.

Drive Pricing & Promotional Economics

  • Develop recommended selling-price guardrails within the broader pricing architecture;
    monitor net AUR, margin, contribution and cross-channel price parity.
  • Partner with Sales Channel Leaders, who retain ownership of channel-specific offer, coupon and price execution strategies within established guardrails.

Optimize Assortment, Bundles & GWP

  • Partner with Sales Channel Leaders on commercial assortment opportunities and develop the cross-channel economic framework for bundles, kits, configurations and GWP.
  • Use product availability, perceived value, margin and inventory opportunity cost to improve commercial productivity.

Lead Clearance Commercial Strategy

  • Lead Clearance as a distinct value-driven commercial category, partnering with Merchandising on purpose-built low-COGS/high-perceived-value products alongside appropriate existing, excess or end-of-life inventory.
  • Determine the most productive path for excess inventory rather than defaulting automatically to markdown or Clearance.

Partner on Launch & Seasonal Commercialization

  • Partner with Merchandising and Sales Channel Leaders to translate launches and seasonal programs into a coordinated cross-channel sales outlook.
  • Challenge sales potential using comparable performance, channel support, marketing investment, pricing and inventory;
    help coordinate cross-channel sales timing, sequencing and exclusivity windows.

Connect Cross-Channel Commercial Planning

  • Maintain a consolidated view of major selling moments across channels and ensure they are reflected in forecasts and product plans.
  • Identify conflicts, inventory implications and opportunities to improve coordination across the Laura Geller sales ecosystem.

Turn Performance Into Action

  • Move beyond reporting what happened to explain why it happened, what it means and what we should do next.
  • Bring channel and customer learnings back to Merchandising, Product Development, Demand Planning and Finance to improve future decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in merchandise planning, sales planning, commercial planning, ecommerce, retail planning or a related discipline, ideally within beauty, consumer products or omnichannel retail.
  • Strong experience with product-level sales forecasting, margin analysis, inventory and assortment planning.
  • Deep commercial understanding of pricing, promotions, bundles and channel economics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to move between SKU-level detail and executive-level business decisions.
  • Experience working across multiple sales channels and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct ownership of their businesses.
  • Strong understanding of inventory productivity and product lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication and data-storytelling skills.
  • Experience partnering closely with Demand Planning, Merchandising, Finance and Analytics teams.
  • Highly collaborative, decisive and comfortable operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
