Senior Financial Analyst – Real Estate Investment

A privately held real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its FP&A team. The firm specializes in manufactured housing and operates a vertically integrated platform with a significant real estate portfolio.

This is a highly analytical role with significant exposure to senior leadership, portfolio performance, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, real estate experience, and the ability to turn complex financial and operating data into actionable insights.

What You’ll Do

• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends and opportunities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed financial models, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Perform financial analysis supporting strategic planning, investment decisions, and operational improvements
• Analyze real estate initiatives including hold/sell decisions, land development, and debt defeasance
• Prepare quarterly reporting and other presentations for senior leadership
• Track debt financing terms and performance across the real estate portfolio
• Partner with senior team members and business units to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support ad hoc financial and strategic projects as the business continues to grow

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
  MBA or advanced degree is a plus
• 5–10 years of relevant experience
• Previous real estate experience is required
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills, including sensitivity analysis and pivot tables
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity, ownership, and accountability
• Familiarity with using AI tools such as ChatGPT to enhance financial analysis and modeling is a plus
