POSITION: Commercial Lines Account Manager

INDUSTRY: Property & Casualty Insurance – Commercial Lines

ROLE OVERVIEW

Delibert Employment Solutions is partnered with a client seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service business insurance accounts. The role combines client relationship management, policy administration, renewals, risk assessment, retention, cross-selling, and collaboration with carriers and underwriters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients and policy service needs.

• Manage renewals, endorsements, cancellations, documentation, and claims assistance.

• Support new business, cross-selling, and proactive renewal retention.

• Assess business risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage.

• Work with underwriters to ensure policies meet client needs and underwriting guidelines.

• Maintain detailed client, policy, and transaction records and ensure compliance.

• Educate business clients on coverage options and relevant industry changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• In-depth knowledge of commercial P&C products, including general liability, commercial property, workers' compensation, and business auto.

• Appropriate state insurance licensing, such as a Property & Casualty license.

• Strong business-client communication, service, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple commercial accounts, renewals, and deadlines.

• Comfort with insurance software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.

• Previous commercial-insurance experience is highly beneficial.

TARGET CANDIDATE BACKGROUNDS

Prioritize candidates with direct commercial-lines servicing experience rather than purely personal-lines backgrounds.

Commercial Lines Account Manager, Commercial Account Manager, Commercial Lines CSR, Commercial Insurance Account Executive, Client Service Manager.

LICENSING

Appropriate state Property & Casualty insurance licensing is expected for this role, plus experience with commercial property, GL, workers' compensation, and/or business auto. Do not assume a candidate holds an active license unless confirmed; flag licensing status for Teresa when unclear rather than assuming.

INTERNAL NOTE: Keep sourcing for this requisition completely separate from the Financial Sales Associate and Personal Lines Account Manager job orders. Do not place Commercial Lines candidates into either of the other two jobs.
