Director Of Financial Planning And Analysis

On Site Full TimeTampa, United StatesFerreri Search

Ferreri Search is partnering with a rapidly growing and privately held, organization to identify a Director of FP&A for a highly visible role within its expanding finance team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced FP&A leader who wants more than maintaining an established planning process. You’ll have the opportunity to help build and shape the FP&A function, partner directly with senior leadership, and influence financial decision-making as the business continues to scale.
The ideal candidate brings the sophistication of a larger organization combined with the ability and desire to be hands-on in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
What We’re Looking For
– Progressive FP&A or strategic finance experience with meaningful leadership responsibility
– Strong full P&L experience, including revenue, gross margin/COGS, operating expenses, EBITDA, and cash flow
– Demonstrated ownership of budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and consolidated financial reporting
– M&A experience, particularly acquisition analysis, due diligence, post-acquisition integration, or integrating acquired businesses into forecasting, reporting, systems, and financial processes
– Experience in a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or similarly high-growth environment strongly preferred
– Ability to build and improve FP&A infrastructure rather than simply operate within mature, established processes
– Strong financial modeling, scenario planning, KPI development, and management/board reporting experience
– Experience partnering directly with senior executives and translating financial results into actionable business decisions
– Background that combines the financial sophistication of a larger organization with hands-on experience in a smaller, evolving, or entrepreneurial environment
– Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage experienced finance professionals
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
MBA, CPA, CFA, or otheradvanced credentials are valued
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded FP&A leader with full P&L experience, including revenue, margins, operating expenses, EBITDA, and cash flow.
This person should bring experience from a sophisticated finance environment, along with exposure to a smaller, high-growth, private equity-backed or acquisitive organization where they’ve been hands-on and helped build processes.
We’re looking for someone with M&A and post-acquisition integration experience, including bringing acquired businesses into forecasting, budgeting, reporting, systems, and FP&A processes.
The right person will be comfortable building rather than simply inheriting, partnering with senior leadership, and leading experienced FP&A professionals. They should combine strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is a chance to join a company at a pivotal stage of growth and play a meaningful role in shaping what FP&A becomes as the business scales.
Rather than inheriting a mature function, you’ll have the opportunity to build, improve, and influence, creating better processes, strengthening financial visibility, and partnering directly with senior leadership on decisions that impact the business.
With continued growth and acquisition activity, the role offers significant exposure, complexity, and opportunity to make an impact. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who wants broader ownership, greater visibility, and a real voice in building the next stage of the finance organization.
This role offers the chance to join an organization at an important stage of growth rather than stepping into a mature FP&A function where everything has already been built.
You’ll have the opportunity to create and improve processes, increase financial visibility, partner closely with leadership, and have a meaningful voice in how the finance organization evolves.
It’s an especially compelling opportunity for someone who has gained strong training and financial discipline in a sophisticated environment but is ready for broader ownership, greater visibility, and the ability to build.
