About the Opportunity

A growing company in the Eastern Nassau County, Long Island area is seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, providing financial insights, reporting, forecasting, and analytical support to help drive business decisions and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial results, trends, and variances against budget and prior periods.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
• Perform profitability, cost, and revenue analysis.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
• Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5 years of financial analysis, accounting, or related experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• Knowledge of financial statements and GAAP principles.
• Experience working with large data sets and creating management-level reporting.
