Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a growing private equity-backed industrial manufacturing company headquartered in Pittsburgh, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with the private equity ownership group. The position offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, drive operational performance, and play a key role in value creation initiatives across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow analysis, and executive-level variance reporting
  • Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and working capital reporting dashboards
  • Analyze plant-level performance, COGS, gross margin, inventory, and profitability trends
  • Partner with operations leadership to monitor production variances, material costs, and manufacturing efficiency metrics
  • Support capital investment planning, post-implementation reviews, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Prepare Board, lender, and private equity reporting packages, including KPI tracking and EBITDA analyses
  • Build financial models to support pricing strategies, customer profitability, capacity planning, new product launches, and investment decisions
  • Participate in acquisition due diligence, integration efforts, and other strategic corporate initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of progressive FP&A experience within manufacturing, industrial, or engineered products environments
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders
  • Strong business partnering skills with finance, operations, and senior leadership teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA designation
  • Experience supporting private equity-owned companies
  • Manufacturing ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Experience with M&A, due diligence, or strategic finance projects
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives
