Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data to identify cost reduction opportunities, improve business performance, and support strategic decision-making across the Towanda facility. This position develops financial models, performs variance analysis, prepares forecasts and budgets, and provides reporting and insights to management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Perform end-of-month closing of books and reconciliation using standard Journal Entry templates, including but not limited to intercompany accounts, trade sales, accounts payables, and other accounts as needed or assigned.
- Maintain Fixed Asset records in SAP & IFS.
- Assist in reviewing financial statements and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Review balance sheet accounts for accuracy and variances with recommendations for management action.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
- Respond to routine requests from internal or external customers regarding accounting questions.
- Position will serve as the accounting department team leader for clerical staff members and actively participate in department training.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business Management with an Accounting minor and a minimum of two years accounting experience.
- Experience with SAP, other ERP software preferred
