Account Manager – Local Government and Blue Light – North This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. Are you a driven sales professional with deep industry knowledge and a passion for helping customers solve complex challenges? We’re looking for an experienced specialist to join our team and play a key role in driving growth, shaping solutions, and building lasting client relationships.

Requirements

  • Identify new business opportunities while expanding and enhancing existing ones, building a strong pipeline within your specialty area.
  • Use your understanding of the competitive landscape to position our products and services strategically.
  • Develop pursuit plans and work closely with account managers to ensure pipeline alignment.
  • Build trusted, consultative relationships with clients by understanding their unique industry challenges and business needs.
  • Contribute to proposals, support negotiations, and help close deals.
  • Partner with account managers to provide technical expertise and engage with clients—including C‐level leaders—particularly for more complex solutions.
  • Drive growth across mid‐size accounts, focusing on contractual renewals and higher total‐value opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to anticipate customer needs and create compelling solutions.
  • Share knowledge and best practices to improve sales readiness and reduce client learning curves.
