Business Rates Data Analyst

We are seeking a Business Rates Data Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru and Noida. As a Business Rates Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing property and assessment data, gathering evidence for checks and challenges, and supporting senior colleagues with data gathering and submission. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • Collect and analyze property and assessment data using Analyse software
  • Gather evidence for checks and challenges, including lease documents, rent reviews, and site notes
  • Support senior colleagues with data gathering and submission
  • Collate floor plans, surveys, and as-built drawings from client or internal systems
  • Extract and tabulate floor areas, identify missing or unclear measurement information, and flag for site inspection or clarification
  • Assist with updating measurement schedules following surveys or inspections
  • Source and organize supporting evidence required for checks or challenges intro agreed reporting formats
  • Upload and structure evidence in the agreed WSP filing system, ensuring clear version control
  • Prepare evidence bundles in a consistent and auditable format for review
  • Assist in completing factual check templates or internal review forms
  • Compare factual data against client records to identify incorrect use descriptions, inaccurate floor areas, and errors in effective dates or hereditament splits/mergers
  • Log factual issues clearly for senior review, with supporting evidence referenced
  • Assist in gathering background information relevant to the Challenge, such as locality context, changes affecting the property, and available comparable assessment data
  • Populate draft Check or Challenge submission templates with factual information
  • Ensure mandatory fields are completed accurately and consistently
  • Prepare supporting schedules and appendices for inclusion with submissions
  • Track submission deadlines and maintain a log of cases in progress (CCA status via GLHIMS)
  • Act as a point of coordination between surveyors, administrators, and data teams for allocated cases
  • Request missing information from internal colleagues or client contacts, as instructed
  • Record incoming information and update case files promptly
