Specialist Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data & Financial Analyst to strengthen the Transactional Banking Change team’s decision-making capability. The role sits at the intersection of data analytics and financial analysis, ensuring that project performance, portfolio health, and strategic initiatives are driven by accurate, timely, and actionable insights.

Requirements

• Build and continuously enhance the Transactional Banking Change data and financial analysis capability
• Develop and embed data quality standards and best practices to ensure integrity of insights
• Design and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to assess project and portfolio performance
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making
• Analyse financial and operational data to uncover trends, risks, and optimisation opportunities
• Produce integrated project and financial performance reports with clear, actionable insights
• Translate complex data into compelling narratives for senior stakeholders
• Deliver regular analytics and visual reports (Power BI/Tableau) across key KPIs and financial metrics
• Maintain and update project governance artefacts (risk registers, action logs, milestone trackers, documentation)
• Participate in project and portfolio forums, capturing decisions, risks, actions, and financial impacts
• Support the continuous improvement of project management frameworks and templates
• Champion data integrity and governance through validation, reconciliation, and audit processes
• Collaborate across teams to identify and resolve data inconsistencies, improving data pipelines and reliability
