Role Overview
The Direct Digital Marketing Specialist will combine digital marketing, eCommerce, and customer insight to deliver engaging digital experiences that grow Air New Zealand’s direct online business. The role will have a direct impact on customer engagement, conversion, and commercial performance across one of Air New Zealand’s key international markets.
What You Will Do
The Direct Digital Marketing Specialist will retail fares, destinations, products, campaigns, and offers across Air New Zealand’s Australian website, delivering engaging and commercially effective content that drives bookings and revenue. The role will also involve planning and executing retail and loyalty activity across owned digital channels, building and deploying customer email communications, and monitoring website, campaign, and eCommerce performance.

Requirements
- Experience managing and publishing website content using a content management system
- Experience retailing fares, products, campaigns, and offers across owned digital channels
- Hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying email marketing campaigns using a customer engagement or marketing automation platform
- A strong understanding of digital and eCommerce performance metrics
- Experience using analytics, customer insights, and experimentation to optimise customer journeys, engagement, and conversion
- Strong commercial awareness and an interest in the airline, travel, and Australian consumer landscape
- Excellent attention to detail when working with customer-facing pricing, promotional offers, and campaign deadlines
- The ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic commercial environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across multiple teams
- Experience working with CMS, customer engagement, analytics, and experimentation platforms, ideally including Braze, GA4, Optimizely, or similar tools
