Business Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst with a strong background delivering regulatory change initiatives within financial services. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working across data-focused programmes, partnering with business, operations, compliance and technology stakeholders to define, document and improve critical data assets.

What You Will Do

Elicit, analyse and document business and data requirements for regulatory change initiatives. Perform data analysis, data mapping and data lineage assessments across multiple source systems. Facilitate workshops with SMEs to define critical data elements (CDEs), data ownership and quality rules.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Business Analyst within Financial Services.
• Strong regulatory programme experience, ideally covering one or more of: BCBS 239, EMIR, MiFID II / MiFIR, SFTR, CSDR, Basel regulations, FCA/PRA regulatory reporting initiatives.
• Demonstrable experience building and maintaining Data Dictionaries and Business Glossaries.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management and data lineage concepts.
• Experience performing complex data mapping and data analysis across multiple systems.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into business and data requirements.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
