Role Overview
The Ministry of Hospitals and Surgical Health Services is building a more resilient and sustainable health care delivery system. The Manager, Financial Planning will provide leadership and direction to professional and technical staff with responsibility for strategic support and advice to the Ministry.
What You Will Do
The position directly supports ministry financial accountability, planning and management decision making through effective coordination of quarterly and annual reporting, as well as a broad range of strategic financial services.

Requirements
- University graduation in Business with a focus in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years related experience
- Working knowledge of government 1GX, One Stream accounting software or similar systems
- Government legislation, policies and procedures (including the FAA, Public Sector Accounting Standards and the Manual of Financial Management)
- Professional accounting designation – Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
- Government-wide financial reporting requirements
- Relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and supervision of staff
