Senior Data Scientist (Fokus Business Analytics)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead challenging data science projects with a clear business focus in an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in data science and AI engineering, preferably in consulting, IT services, or other customer-oriented roles.

What You Will Do

Design and lead data science projects, develop and implement effective data-driven solutions, communicate results to customers, and accompany the implementation of ideas with the data engineering team.

Requirements

• Completed studies in business informatics, economics, mathematics, chemistry, physics, statistics, or a comparable course with a strong quantitative focus.
• At least 3 years of full-time professional experience in the field of data science and AI engineering, preferably in consulting, IT services, or other customer-oriented roles.
• Verifiable successes in the field of business analytics, especially in the conception, development, and operation of data use cases.
• Good analytical and conceptual thinking, a deep understanding of data modeling and analysis, and knowledge of software development.
• Expertise in common analytics toolboxes, especially the programming language Python (and relevant libraries), visualization solutions (such as Tableau/Power BI), and databases and big data technologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, DBX) and data platforms (Snowflake, MS Fabric, DBX).
• Branch-specific knowledge for retail and consumer is an advantage.
• Fluent German and English skills in writing and speaking are required.
