Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will be an integral part of the newly formed business intelligence team, building and developing the analytics and insights capabilities of the Bank. They will work with data stakeholders and have an impact on the business by telling stories around the insights they generate.

What You Will Do

The Senior Data Analyst will build and optimise solutions on GCP (BigQuery) and in Python, automating manual processes and choosing the best way to implement each solution. They will generate their own work by joining wider business meetings, building business understanding and spotting where data can add value.

Requirements

• Strong SQL with hands-on GCP/BigQuery and Python experience for data transformation and automation.
• Experience building dashboards in Looker (LookML preferred).
• Good knowledge of data models and how best to implement solutions; experience untangling complex data lineage preferred.
• Experience working with BI semantic layers (Looker preferred)
• AI enthusiast who knows how and where to use AI and is excited to build things and influence the business.
• Financial Services/Banking/Fintech experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of data flows across complex systems (particularly lending or financial services)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Structured, engineering-led approach to problem solving
