Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist at Aperam, you will lead multiple data science projects, coach and mentor junior data scientists, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven insights and recommendations. You will be responsible for data collection, preparation, and analysis, as well as model development, deployment, and monitoring. You will also stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, machine learning, and industrial data science.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include gathering large-scale industrial data, conducting exploratory data analysis, developing and engineering new features, selecting and implementing machine learning algorithms, training and fine-tuning models, and evaluating model performance. You will also collaborate with IT and software engineering teams to deploy models into production environments and monitor deployed models for performance drifts.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data science and machine learning
• Strong technical skills in data science, machine learning, and data engineering
• Experience with IoT sensors, MES, SAP systems, and external data repositories
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate complex data findings to stakeholders
