Data Scientist I A – GBS IND

Role Overview

The Data Scientist I A will perform technical processes relating to execution of models across an Enterprise portfolio, with a focus on time series modeling and econometric models. The role involves working with the implementation team to ensure that critical functions are well controlled, and maintaining process documentation for internal governance or regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

The Data Scientist I A will perform programming in Python and R, develop scripts/code to automate data reports, and write complex SQL queries to validate production results. They will also identify, analyze, monitor, and present risk factors and metrics to business partners, and proactively solve challenges with process design deficiencies.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The Data Scientist I A will work with model implementation experts and technology teams to design and integrate Python workflows into existing in-house target-state platform for process execution. They will also leverage skills in quantitative methods to conduct ongoing monitoring of model performance, and possess capabilities in data science and data visualization techniques and tools.

Requirements

• Education*: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, operations research, economics, finance, physics or mathematics
• Certifications If Any
• Experience Range*: 6 to 9 years
• Foundational skills
• Understanding of Credit Risk modelling and processes
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
• Knowledge of databases and SQL language for Oracle, and Hive/Impala
• Integrates seamlessly across complex set of stakeholders, internal partners, external resources
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities and requirements.
