Manager – Business Development

Role Overview

The Manager – Business Development will execute business and project development related to renewable energy in accordance with the corporate strategy of Banpu China. This involves gaining an in-depth understanding of relevant policies and segmented market trends in China’s new energy sector, identifying and seizing opportunities for practical business growth and projects in line with the company’s strategy.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include identifying market strategy and opportunities, making and implementing annual business development plans, searching and selecting potential business partners, leading business negotiations, and coordinating with internal procedures for newly developed projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful project implementation, experience in business/project development, execution, and/or successful operation in the new energy sector, and in-depth knowledge of investment analysis and risk management.

Requirements

• Graduated from top 15, famous/well-known domestic university, majoring in electric power, (new) energy, electrical engineering or related fields.
• At least 8 years of experience in business and project development at renewable energy business, O&M experiences for related business would be an advantage.
• Verifiable track record of successful project implementation in past experiences.
• Work experience with foreign invested enterprises, or at large-scaled private enterprises in China, especially in renewable energy, energy storage, green electricity, Energy saving and emission reduction, zero-carbon industrial park experience.
• In-depth knowledge of investment analysis and risk management.
• Ability to develop a business model and generate material for relevant business case and/or M&A study.
• Ability to generate Financial model and analysis report on investment opportunity.
• English as working language.
