Data Analyst Associate

Role Overview

The role of a data analyst associate within the Bank National of Canada’s Markets of Capital (BNCMC) Solutions of Deposits team is to leverage data, technology, and business understanding to support the bank’s deposits strategy.

You will transform complex data into clear analyses, evolving tools, and decision-ready information to support the Asset and Treasury Financing and stakeholders at the bank level.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technological, financial, commercial, or related field
• Two to five years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, banking services, treasury, or finance
• Mastery of SQL, Python, Power BI, or a comparable visualization tool, as well as Excel
• Knowledge of data management practices, with a focus on data quality, reliability, and controls
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with different teams and manage competing priorities
• Knowledge of banking services, treasury, deposits, liquidity, FTP, or balance sheet management is an asset; a strong interest in developing this expertise is essential
