Data Scientist Analyst

Role Overview

BBVA is a global company with over 160 years of history that operates in more than 25 countries, serving over 80 million customers. We are looking for data science specialists with a general knowledge of Machine Learning, Graphs, and Deep Learning.

What You Will Do

Perform exploratory analysis, training, selection of analytical models, and their deployment, ensuring the fulfillment of business and regulatory requirements. Develop exploration, analysis, and data processing algorithms (statistical and Machine Learning) integrating multiple sources and formats.

Requirements

• Indispensable knowledge of Python
• Handling of data processing and analysis tools: Spark, Pyspark, R, Scala, SQL, and BI tools
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Knowledge in NLP (Natural Language Processing) techniques, Chatbots, and handling of LLMs (Large Language Models) such as Chat GPT or Google Bard
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related fields
• Desirable to have a Master’s degree
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated ability to develop models from scratch (data cleaning, data extraction, and deployment)
