Role Overview
The Data Scientist Manager will analyze and structure complex business problems in the global financial markets environment, transforming them into actionable quantitative solutions. They will formulate, design, and validate advanced mathematical models and machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms. The role requires a combination of practical experience in quantitative modeling and data science with knowledge of the financial environment, project coordination, and the ability to manage demanding stakeholders and interlocutors.
What You Will Do
The Data Scientist Manager will lead sessions for defining and prioritizing quantitative requirements with traders, sales teams, and other relevant stakeholders. They will coordinate analytical projects from start to finish, managing scope, priorities, commitments, risks, dependencies, and delivery dates. The role also involves generating executive reports on progress, planning, risks, and blockers, clearly communicating the implications for the business.

Requirements
- Advanced mastery of programming and analytical solution development in Python and Spark (PySpark)
- Practical experience in building, validating, and implementing mathematical, statistical, machine learning, or artificial intelligence models
- Solid technical experience working within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud architecture
- Solid understanding of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence methodologies, algorithms, and techniques
- Functional understanding of financial products and market dynamics, particularly currencies, bonds, and derivatives
- Ability to translate business needs into quantitative problems and subsequently convert analytical results into applicable recommendations or solutions
- Experience coordinating analytical projects and managing stakeholders, priorities, commitments, and delivery dates
- Mastery of the English language (B2 to C1 level) for reading, writing documentation, and technical and business conversation
