Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Role Overview

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator keeps Berkeley Rep’s marketing department organized and on schedule, connecting the people, vendors, and deadlines behind every production’s campaign. The position traffics ad materials to media vendors and partners, writes copy for media partners, and supports the printed show programs by gathering bios, headshots, credits, and scheduling Positioning and Editorial meetings.

What You Will Do

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will process vendor invoices, schedule and attend department meetings, traffic ad materials to media vendors and partners, write copy for media partners, and assist the Communications Manager with proofing and gathering approvals as needed.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, administration, or social media, preferably in the arts or entertainment.
• Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage calendars, deadlines, and many concurrent projects.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to write engaging copy in a consistent brand voice.
• Working knowledge of Meta (Facebook, Instagram, and Threads), TikTok, and LinkedIn, including platform best practices and audience engagement.
• Ability to read social media analytics and report on what is and isn’t working.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high emotional intelligence and cultural competency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• An appreciation for the arts.
