Senior AI Automation & Integration Engineer

Role Overview

Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows and applications for an Australian client. Connect AI models with business systems, turning business requirements into reliable automated solutions.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and maintain AI-powered business workflows and applications. Develop custom AI integrations using Claude, OpenAI, and other LLMs through their APIs. Integrate AI solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, CRM platforms, and databases.

At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience. Proficient in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, and SQL databases.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficient in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, and SQL databases.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs through APIs, including tool/function calling and structured outputs.
• Understanding of AI agents and how to build them safely.
• Experience with n8n, Make, Power Automate, or similar automation platforms.
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or equivalent business systems.
• Experience deploying, securing, and maintaining production applications.
• Experience working with Australian clients or stakeholders.
• Able to provide examples of AI solutions you personally built and deployed (GitHub, architecture diagram, or demo is a plus).
• Experience with MCP, RAG, vector databases, Azure, or AWS is an advantage.
