Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will join Brookfield Asset Management’s Global Finance Team, responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Financial Reporting. Located in Downtown Toronto, the role provides a solid foundation and exposure to a progressive and dynamic career with a leading global asset management firm.

What You Will Do

The Analyst will assist in preparation of quarterly consolidated financial forecasts, analyze actual results against budget and forecast, and support the annual budget and longer-term planning processes. They will also assist in preparing consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and other public documents.

Requirements

• University degree in Business or Finance
• 1-3 years of progressive work experience in finance, public accounting, accounting functions, or a related field
• Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skills
• Leadership and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and pro-active
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle HFM, OneStream and Workiva is an asset
• Completed or working towards completion of recognized professional accounting designation (CPA)
