Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive to join their growing team in Austin, TX. The role involves managing complex employee benefits clients, leading benefits strategy, and overseeing account teams.

Requirements

  • Act as the senior strategic advisor and relationship owner for complex and high-profile employee benefits clients.
  • Lead benefits strategy, funding analysis, vendor selection, contribution modeling, and long-term cost-containment planning.
  • Independently manage the most complex accounts, including self-funded, captive, and advanced funding arrangements.
  • Oversee account teams, including Senior Account Managers and Benefits Analysts, ensuring workload balance, accountability, and professional development.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex client, carrier, vendor, or compliance issues.
  • Partner with producers on new business opportunities by participating in prospect meetings, finalist presentations, and strategy development.
  • Drive client retention, growth, and cross-selling initiatives in collaboration with agency leadership.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to agency service standards, technology platforms, and best practices.
  • Coach and mentor team members through feedback, training, and career development planning.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market innovations to provide forward-looking guidance to clients.
