Technology Financial Operations Analyst

Role Overview

Supports financial transparency, cost optimisation, and commercial governance across Technology Services portfolio. Provides analysis, reporting, and governance support across Technology, Finance, Procurement, and third-party suppliers.

What You Will Do

Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and supporting data to identify billing inconsistencies. Track billing queries, invoice disputes, and commercial risks. Prepare budget and forecast analysis across Technology cost centres.

Experience in FinOps, Technology Finance, IT Financial Management, Commercial Management, or a related financial governance role. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, accruals, month-end controls, variance reporting, and financial performance management.

Requirements

• Experience in FinOps, Technology Finance, IT Financial Management, Commercial Management, or a related financial governance role.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, accruals, month-end controls, variance reporting, and financial performance management.
• Experience supporting third-party supplier billing, invoice validation, commercial queries, and financial governance controls.
• Ability to analyse large financial datasets, identify cost drivers, highlight trends, and recommend practical cost optimisation actions.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience using financial systems such as SAP, Ariba, or equivalent purchasing, invoicing, and reporting platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, or cloud financial management tools is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, Procurement, Technology teams, and suppliers, with the ability to challenge, influence, and resolve issues constructively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insight and management recommendations.
