Role Overview

Famous Footwear is seeking a Part-Time Sales Lead to provide the best shoe store experience for every customer. This role involves creating a welcoming environment and in-store culture, taking on additional responsibilities, and staying informed about trends. The Sales Lead will champion Famous culture and ensure customers leave with the perfect fit.

Drive sales with purpose and determination to achieve goals, and ace retail operations including pricing, inventory, opening and closing the store. Connect the dots by sticking to company policies and utilizing partners and resources, and champion Famous culture by embodying behaviors that power Customer Connection.

Requirements

• Has a High School Diploma/GED
• Proficient working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Some retail store management experience or relevant management experience in lieu
• Previous experience being on a team and motivating others to accomplish a goal
• Manages multiple tasks and communicates direction set by the store manager
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train Associates on selling and operational processes
• Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule and meet availability requirements of the role. Includes holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours
• Has basic computer skills
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
