Role Overview
This role provides unique insight into Canadian Tire’s retail banners, key business initiatives, and financial results. The Financial Analyst will play an important role in ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of revenue and cost of sales while partnering with teams across the organization.
What You Will Do
Prepare and analyze significant journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close process across a variety of margin areas. Serve as a key accounting partner for margin-related business initiatives across multiple banners.

Requirements
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation (or working towards completion)
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in a medium/large company at a Financial Analyst/Accountant level, with strong IFRS knowledge
- Detail oriented with strong diagnostic and analytical skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in an environment responsive to changing business requirements
- Highly driven with an exceptionally strong work ethic, time management and organization skills
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
