Senior Consultant, FinOps

Role Overview

As a Senior Consultant, FinOps, you will lead FinOps workstreams that turn cloud spend from a monthly surprise into a managed, forecastable business lever. You will work hands-on with billing and usage data, build the visibility clients need, and partner with engineering and finance teams to land optimization that actually sticks.

What You Will Do

You will lead end-to-end FinOps activities, including cost visibility, allocation, optimization, and forecasting. You will analyze AWS, Azure, and GCP billing and usage data to identify savings opportunities and reduce waste.

You will partner with engineering, finance, and procurement to translate cost insights into actionable improvements. You will support FinOps maturity assessments, roadmaps, and business cases. You will coach junior team members and ensure high analytical quality.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in cloud cost management, IT finance, FP&A, or technology consulting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud billing and cost-management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing, Apptio Cloudability, CloudHealth, or Flexera.
• Strong analytical skills using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools, including large and complex datasets.
• Knowledge of cloud pricing, commitment models, and core infrastructure services.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain cost drivers to both technical and finance stakeholders.
