DevOps Engineer – CloudOps & FinOps

Role Overview

Join Cat Digital’s Slovakian branch as a CloudOps & FinOps Engineer to help operate, optimize, and govern Caterpillar’s cloud environments while enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and cost-efficient digital products.

What You Will Do

Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and shared services across AWS and Azure, drive cloud cost visibility, governance, and optimization through FinOps best practices, and develop and maintain automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD solutions.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have experience operating cloud environments in AWS and/or Azure, understanding of CloudOps, FinOps, cloud governance, and security best practices, and experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar).

Requirements

• Experience operating cloud environments in AWS and/or Azure
• Understanding of CloudOps, FinOps, cloud governance, and security best practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
• Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, and incident management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience working within an Agile environment
