Role Overview

The Manager, Retail Sales is responsible for driving the achievement of Co-operators’ annual sales, client growth and policy renewal targets. The Manager provides leadership and support to Advisors who own and operate their own business.

What You Will Do

Manage performance and create a high-performance culture by aligning Advisors, their staff and direct reports’ work with organizational goals, linking rewards to outcomes, and creating a sense of ownership in accomplishing objectives.

Requirements

  • Having the General Insurance, Life and Mutual Fund Licenses is required or will need to attain in 6 months
  • Having the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation(s) will need to be attained within an agreed upon time frame
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales performance management strategies that align with corporate goals and drive profitable growth.
  • Skill in building and maintaining trusted relationships with Advisors through proactive consultation and partnering approaches.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data sources and reporting to provide market insights and recommendations to Advisors.
  • Expertise in holding Advisors accountable for optimal use of corporate tools, data, and sales management practices.
  • Strong understanding of P&C, life, wealth, farm and commercial lines of business to provide expert technical and sales support.
  • Understanding of business planning and business requirements / levers for driving sales.
