Role Overview

An award-winning digital bank seeks a Data Scientist to develop analytical capabilities and algorithms for regional marketing initiatives.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include data mining, statistical analysis, building predictive systems, and supporting Big Data analytics for regional initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Financial/Engineering)
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in statistical modeling using machine learning techniques
• Demonstrated experience in applying and implementing machine learning techniques like neural networks, SVM, recommender engines, deep learning algorithms etc
• Strong knowledge of common data science toolkits like tools like R / Kxen/ Python
• Familiar in SQL and visualization tool such as Excel, QlikView, Tableau and MS PowerBI.
• Knowledge in Big Data Tools (e.g. Hive, Impala, Hadoop and Spark) is an added advantage.
• Strong presentation and influencing skills, required in guiding and assisting teams in putting forward proposals for clients, whenever necessary
• Good reputation and business network in the Wholesale banking community Internationally
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets, product development and management
