Role Overview
As a Director at CrossCountry Consulting, you will serve as a trusted partner to our clients, delivering tailored integrated solutions that help our clients solve today’s challenges and set the foundation for future success. You’ll be responsible for a mix of client delivery, business development, team leadership, junior team member development, and service as a member of CrossCountry’s leadership team.
What You Will Do
You’ll serve clients within the “Office of the CFO” at private equity portfolio companies, creating a diagnostic framework and enhancing the effectiveness of the finance function. You’ll lead the development, calculation, and operationalization of scalable wrap rate processes and planning tools across portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with DCAA requirements and contract pricing strategies.

Requirements
- 10+ years of senior FP&A and/or consulting experience
- Experience addressing the unique requirements of the private equity consulting environment
- Experience building and mentoring high-performing FP&A teams
- Deep industry experience in the GovCon sector
- Experience bridging technical FP&A skills with hands-on knowledge of DCAA/DCMA compliance
- Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audit processes
- Advanced financial modeling skills paired with the judgement to keep models practical and decision-focused
- Strong verbal and written executive communication skills
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Knowledge of and proficiency in leading and implementing best practices to optimize finance functions
- Knowledge of key technology solutions within the Office of the CFO
- Experience with or significant exposure to various data analytics tools
- Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation
- Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies
- Proven ability to generate leads from a network outside of existing client work
- Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
