Role Overview
The Director, Global Financial Planning & Analysis is the global functional leader responsible for defining and advancing Leica Biosystems’ enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and executive decision-support model. This position reports to the Senior Director, Finance and is part of the Finance and Accounting Team located in Deer Park, IL and will be an on-site role.
What You Will Do
Own the enterprise-wide financial planning and performance management framework, setting global standards, governance, assumptions, and operating mechanisms for budgeting, forecasting, actual reporting, and executive financial deliverables. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by translating complex financial and operational information into forward-looking insights and recommendations that influence enterprise targets, resource allocation, investments, productivity, and risk management.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 9+ years of progressive Finance experience, including significant responsibility for global FP&A, enterprise planning, strategic decision support, performance management, and Finance transformation.
- Recognized expertise in forecasting, scenario modelling, resource allocation, management reporting, and translating operational drivers into financial outcomes and actionable enterprise recommendations.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing scalable Finance operating models, governance, standard work, analytics, automation, and enterprise planning solutions, with experience across consolidation, ERP, data warehouse, and business-intelligence platforms.
- Proven ability to advise CFO-level and other senior executives, lead complex multidisciplinary global initiatives through influence, constructively challenge assumptions, and exercise independent judgment on ambiguous issues with broad business impact.
