Data / BI Engineer

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be focused on functional analysis and development of data management processes, working with a progressively increasing autonomy within multi-functional teams. The role involves designing and implementing PaaS solutions using Public Cloud offerings and hybrid clouds, designing and building data analytics solutions on the cloud and on-premise, and working with large relational databases and big data platforms on data management platforms development and optimization.

What You Will Do

The candidate will design and develop data pipelines / APIs /ETLs using Python, SQL, PySpark or SSIS and Azure or AWS Methods, build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks in AWS or Azure cloud platform, and produce a high-quality work product and collaborate with others to deliver a superior client experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor / Master’s degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or in similar technical-scientific disciplines (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Statistics);
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse and Big Data principles and Database and Big Data Technologies;
• 0-2 years of relevant working experience;
• Strong command of SQL, Stored Procedures and ETL flows;
• Working experience in CI/CD;
• Good command of Python;
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Eagerness to continuously develop skills on emerging technologies;
• Strong ability to communicate in Greek and English;
• Willingness to travel, domestically and abroad;
• Military obligations fulfilled where applicable
