Sr Data Scientist / Economist

As a Sr Data Scientist / Economist at Deloitte, you will be responsible for performing statistical modelling, computations, and data ETL to deliver analytical models to economics-related challenges. You will work with a diverse team and participate in various structured and ad-hoc analysis projects. The role is hybrid and requires a BA/BSc degree in Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field and 1-8 years of relevant experience.

Requirements

  • Data analysis experience using Python, Cloud ML, or similar tools
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience as a consultant or 4-8 years as a senior consultant
  • Strong experience with statistical analytical techniques, data mining, and predictive models
  • Experience in economic modeling and/or computational economics
  • Database and programming languages experience and data manipulation and integration skills using SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL Databases, or similar tools
  • Ability to work with data with significant ambiguity, develop creative approaches to analytical problems, and interpret data and results from a business/industry perspective
