Data Analyst

Role Overview

As a Data Analyst with Delta Dental of Iowa, you will transform data from multiple sources into meaningful dashboards, reports, and recommendations that help teams make informed decisions.

What You Will Do

You will develop, analyze and distribute reports, generate and analyze reports to identify statistical aberrant treatment profiles, and perform deep dive analysis to effectively translate broad data sets into performance insight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
• Three to five years of relevant work experience
• Superior math and impact analysis skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy
• Ability to work as an analytical, problem solver who can make high-quality judgments and decisions quickly with excellent organization skills
• Ability to interpret and develop data reporting and monitoring requirements
• Experience using critical thinking skills working with results, metrics and data management and desire to create and build new processes
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively on project teams, as well as independently
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills working with all levels of employees, including Leadership
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong working knowledge of database environments
• Strong understanding of analytical SQL scripting
• Understanding of Power BI with applicable experience
• Strong ability to organize, analyze and solve complex problems with attention to detail and accuracy
