Finance Operations and Compliance Specialist

Role Overview

The Finance Operations and Compliance Specialist is the senior in-country finance representative responsible for managing Zambia’s local financial operations, including accounts payable, inventory and warranty controls, taxation, statutory compliance and locally assigned balance-sheet and profit-and-loss reconciliations.

What You Will Do

Manage supplier invoices, staff claims, commissions and local expenditure, prepare approved payment proposals, resolve payment queries, reconcile supplier balances, oversee financial controls for inventory, ensure timely and accurate tax filings, and prepare and review reconciliations for accounts payable, inventory, taxes, warranty balances, staff advances and accruals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ZICA or an equivalent professional qualification
• At least five years of relevant finance experience
• Experience in a multinational, renewable-energy, FMCG, technology, manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of Zambia tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements and IFRS
• Demonstrated experience coordinating statutory or tax audits and working with external advisers and authorities
• Practical experience with ERP and inventory-management systems
