Director Business Development

Role Overview

The Director of Business Development will develop and drive the execution of Business Development activities for the RTL Hydraulics and Electro-Mechanical product lines to achieve short- and long-term business goals for commercial and military applications.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include creating value propositions and demonstrations of new concepts and technology to customers, attending tradeshows and conferences, establishing relationships with industry and government customers, and assessing annual service budgets and long-range plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• 3-10 years of functional experience is required
• 1-2 years of functional experience after working at DLA is required
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret information effectively
• Ability to create and maintain constructive customer relationships
• Ability to understand industry trends and our customers and competitors’ strategies, strengths and weaknesses
• Knowledge or experience in the applicable technical area or product line
• Exhibits future growth potential
• General knowledge and understanding of program budgeting process
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas verbally and in writing to include preparing and leading business reviews and presentations
• Able to work independently, with oversight, to build and lead an integrated product team
• Proficient in the use of MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook, and Project applications
