Business Development Director

Role Overview

Emerging Tech is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead federal business development strategy and drive growth across government markets. The role is responsible for pipeline health, contract wins, and revenue growth while developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective government customers.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a qualified opportunity pipeline, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, leading go/no-go decisions, and owning the business development process from opportunity identification through proposal submission and award.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of relevant business development experience, a demonstrated track record of winning federal contracts, and experience building and managing a qualified federal opportunity pipeline.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant business development, capture management, or proposal leadership experience in government contracting
• Demonstrated track record of winning federal contracts as a prime contractor or major subcontractor
• Experience building and managing a qualified federal opportunity pipeline
• Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes, FAR/DFARS, and small business contracting mechanisms, including 8(a) and set-aside opportunities
• Experience reporting against business development metrics, pipeline forecasts, and revenue targets
• Strong writing, communication, and proposal development skills
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with federal government customers and stakeholders
