Data Analyst for Functional Modelling

Role Overview

Join a multidisciplinary agile data team to facilitate discussions with business subject matter experts, map and analyze business processes, and design and validate conceptual and logical data models.

Convert business requirements into functional data requirements, design and validate data models, and support testing of delivered data products.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse modelling, including the Kimball approach
• Proven experience in data modelling and in analysing and designing data flows
• At least 3 years of practical experience with the Microsoft on-premise stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and Power BI
• Solid SQL skills
• Previous experience as a data engineer is an asset
• Experience with Azure Databricks is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Professional command of both national languages, French and Dutch, at minimum B2+ level
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong conceptual thinking and business understanding
• High level of data literacy
• Able to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Autonomous way of working, with ownership and delivery focus
