People Operations Specialist

Role Overview

The People Operations Specialist will own the operational backbone of the employee lifecycle at Enginy, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. This is a foundational, high-ownership role within a lean People team.

What You Will Do

The role exists to remove operational risk and friction from People processes, ensure full compliance with Spanish labor regulations, and provide a smooth, professional employee experience.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You’ll work closely with our Gestoria and Finance team on payroll, own our HR systems, manage benefits, and act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on operational topics.

Requirements

• Strong People Operations experience
• Hands-on experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, changes, leaves, and off-boarding in a scaling company.
• Spanish labor law & payroll knowledge
• Solid understanding of Spanish labor regulations and experience working with a Gestoria on payroll and compliance, ideally in a company with 50+ employees.
• Systems, process & data mindset
• Experience owning an HRIS (Factorial or similar) and maintaining documentation in tools like Notion.
• Operational ownership & reliability
• You’re known for getting things right, following through and being someone others trust with sensitive and high-impact operational work.
• Service mindset with professional boundaries
• Approachable and helpful with employees, while maintaining confidentiality, consistency and clear boundaries in sensitive situations.
