Offshore Control Room Operator (CRO)

Role Overview

The role involves monitoring, controlling, and optimizing the production process of energy with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. The work involves supervising the operation of equipment, monitoring production levels, and minimizing waste. Regular safety checks, maintaining accurate records of production data, and diagnosing production problems are also part of the role.

What You Will Do

Key tasks include ensuring the stability and optimization of process variables, operating the process plant according to operational specifications, maintaining control of ongoing Work Permits (PTs), controlling and managing safety override systems, monitoring fire and gas detection systems, and identifying, recording, and reporting maintenance needs for process and safety systems through SAP.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are looking for a candidate with a technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Chemistry, with active registration in the relevant professional council. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CRO on oil and gas platforms or 5 years of experience in refineries or continuous process plants is required. Experience in FPSO operations in the pre-salt area is considered a significant advantage.

Requirements

• Formação técnica em Mecânica, Elétrica, Eletrônica, Química ou área equivalente
• Experiência mínima de 3 anos como CRO em plataformas de petróleo e gás
• Experiência mínima de 5 anos em refinarias ou plantas de processo contínuo
• Fluência em português e nível intermediário de inglês
• Conhecimento em sistemas de gestão de manutenção, preferencialmente SAP
• Domínio de ferramentas e sistemas informatizados de escritório
• Capacidade de identificar, compreender e gerenciar riscos operacionais
• Experiência na operação de sistemas Honeywell DCS
• Atitude proativa, iniciativa para identificar oportunidades de melhoria e capacidade de atuar de forma autônoma quando necessário
