Business Analyst – Data Engineering

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst, you’ll work with clients to identify process improvements, analyze business challenges, and recommend technology-driven solutions. You’ll contribute to client engagements by delivering insights, building deliverables, and leading workstreams.

You’ll analyze complex datasets using SQL, support data integration and ETL processes, and collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
• Prior consulting experience in an agile environment with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related technical consulting role
• Strong SQL skills, including experience querying, analyzing, and validating data across multiple sources
• Working knowledge of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, data warehousing, and data integration
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and technical documentation
• Familiarity with relational databases, data models, and data quality principles
• Experience working with technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
