Senior Financial Analyst Corporate Finance (M&A and BD)

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst – BD and M&A will be responsible for the execution of financial analysis to support the executive leadership team on critical business decisions.

Perform duties to support corporate development, business development, strategic planning, life cycle management, and general corporate finance activities.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in related discipline and 5 years of related experience
• MBA degree in related discipline and 3 year of related experience
• Experience in investment banking/management consulting preferred
• Experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Experience working with cross-functional teams is a plus
• Strong expertise in financial modeling and financial statement analysis (GAAP and non-GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, FactSet (or comparable financial analytics tools e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ)
• Advanced Excel modelling
• Expertise in evaluating and modeling various funding arrangements (e.g., revolver, term loans, equity issuances, etc.)
• Strong analytical, strategic, problem solving and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• Knowledgeable about the biotech / pharma industry
• Adaptability to evolving business needs, priorities, and approaches
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Demonstrated understanding of operational drivers of the financial analyses
• Ability to translate financial analyses into clear business implications and communicate them effectively to cross-functional teams and leadership
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and perform analyses in situations with incomplete information and evolving assumptions
