Role Overview
The Analytics Engineer on the Forecasting & Revenue Intelligence team builds data models behind sales, subscription, and hierarchy data, turning it into tested and documented models for analysts and sales leaders to trust. This role works in SQL and dbt on Snowflake, closely collaborating with the people who use the models.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities include building and maintaining dbt models on Snowflake, modeling data for analysis, keeping history, reconciling data to Salesforce and Finance, and explaining data issues to sales and finance partners.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development, with a strong understanding of SQL, dbt, and the Salesforce data model.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering or BI development, building models other people depended on
- Dbt in production, with tests and documentation as part of how you work
- Strong SQL, including window functions and incremental models, in a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake
- Working knowledge of the Salesforce data model: accounts, opportunities, line items and ownership
- Ability to explain a data problem to a non-technical stakeholder and reach a decision together
