Financial Analyst (North York)

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will work in an intermediate-level role, preparing and posting monthly journal entries, reviewing and processing journal entries, and managing prepaid expense transactions. They will also support the month-end and year-end closing processes, conduct reasonableness checks, and prepare and review budget-related information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar finance role
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle, general ledger processes, and the relationships between different finance functions
• Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accuracy during reporting periods
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and insights clearly and concisely
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with colleagues and stakeholders across different levels of the organization
