Role Overview
The Executive Director, Business Development will work closely with Senior/Executive Directors of Sales and/or Vice President of Sales and Client Services on client selection strategy, AE assignment, and account development plans. They will manage, train, and provide leadership to assigned AE’s, and hire and develop diverse talent for open or new territories. The role will also involve delivering order goals for the territory, assisting sales teams in developing internal and external relationships, and conducting quarterly reviews of account plans.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of the role include managing team performance and feedback, providing guidance on development opportunities and action plans, monitoring and controlling team operating expenses, leading scheduled networking events, and utilizing SFDC to manage team pipeline, forecast, and analyze key sales metrics.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or business field preferred
- 10+ years sales experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section
- Advanced industry knowledge
- Direct interaction with mid-level and executive level decision makers
- Demonstrated client retention skills
- Ability to manage difficult client and/or financial situations

- Experience developing and executing strategic business plans
