Role Overview

The Insights and Product Analytics team (IPA) organization is responsible for business performance of all research products and performs analysis related to all aspects of Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights business unit. The team leads analytics across several fronts spanning content, interactions, conferences and all other Gartner client facing assets.

What You Will Do

Contribute to problem structuring, analysis, and execution of key strategic initiatives and team deliverables. Collaborate with data science and data engineering teams to support the development of scalable, analytics-based solutions aimed at improving client retention.

Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience involving data or business analytics.
• Data Science: Foundational understanding of data science concepts and their practical business applications.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or operations research.
• Technical Skills: Solid technical capability to analyze, interpret, and visualize data effectively.
• Programming: Working knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills, with a track record of using data to address business questions.
• Statistical Analysis: Ability to perform statistical analysis, identify trends and patterns, avoid bias, and apply standard methodologies.
• Attention to Detail: High standard for data hygiene, quality checks, and thorough documentation.
• Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment and articulate findings clearly.
• Communication: Clear, structured, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
