Role Overview
GCI Health, part of WPP, is a global health impact agency. As a Senior Account Executive specializing in Medical Communications, you will support the execution of scientific and medical communication initiatives for pharmaceutical and biotech clients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical communications principles and the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear materials.
What You Will Do
Support the development and execution of medical communications projects including scientific publications, medical education materials, advisory boards, and congress activities. Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and budgets. Conduct literature searches and synthesize scientific data. Draft and review scientific content for accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients.

You have 2-4 years of experience in medical communications or a related field, preferably within an agency or pharmaceutical company. You have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or Communications with a strong science background. You can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to scientific accuracy.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in medical communications, scientific communications, or a related field, preferably within a PR/medical communications agency or pharmaceutical company
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Public Health) or Communications with a strong science background
- Demonstrated understanding of scientific principles and the ability to interpret and communicate complex medical data
- Experience in supporting the development of various medical communications deliverables (e.g., slide decks, manuscripts, posters, meeting summaries)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on scientific accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance standards related to medical communications
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build strong client relationships
